Its great to think Big. Donald Trump said “I like thinking big. I always have, if you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big.”

Trump is right and we should create BHAG’s (Big Hairy Audacious Goals). BHAG’s need chunking down otherwise it is just too big to know where to start. A good way to chunk down a goal is to start at the end and work backwards to what you will need to do at each step. By likewise you can start with where you are now and take small steps one at a time.

If you goal was to have 12 referral partners all referring you one new high quality opportunity a month within 2 years this is a BHAG for most people. In order to get to this level of success you would need to chunk it down to the point when you can see what the first steps are. Don’t worry if you cannot see the whole pathway, you just need to see parts of it and keep joining it up as you go.
